The best part about Scheels is the connections you make with both your co-workers and the customers you interact with on a daily basis. The culture among Scheels employees helps work be an enjoyable environment where you can work on many skills including your sales and soft skills.
What I wish was different
Scheels is a good company to work for when you are going through college and it does come with a good part-time benefit. However, in terms of career path, they don't offer a lot for those with a finance background or similar majors which is understandable.
Advice
If you decide to apply for this position as a job to gain experience or just to help pay for school it is a good spot to increase skills in multiple different areas. In your interviews, be confident and be you!

Be prepared for the hiring process. It is pretty intense. A phone interview, short application, long on-site application, and another interview or two after, depending on what you are going for. You really need to know your stuff.

I loved the family friendly environment. My ASLs are very friendly and easy to go to with any problems I encounter. I also loved that I was able to transfer to a different location when I started college.

If you are a people person and love to talk or you want to strengthen your people skills Scheels is a great place to gain those communication skills.
