What I liked

They have a really passionate team and outstanding company culture. I was doing very interesting work that gave me valuable insights into things I would never have been exposed to otherwise. Their mission of improving the accessibility of education to those who are financially disadvantaged aligns perfectly with my own personal values.

What I wish was different

I wish I had put more thought into what I specifically wanted to learn this summer before I arrived. When I got there, they immediately told me that I would have opportunities to identify projects that interest me but it took me a while to figure that out.

Advice

Don't be afraid to follow your personal interests when looking for internships. People always look for the "home run" but working for a smaller firm that aligns with your goals and has a great mission is a really good way to spend a summer. Also, working on a smaller team gives you more direct contact with superiors and allows you to get fully immersed in the company from the top-down.
