Kendall was born and raised in northeast Texas where he attended public schools in Greenville and Sulphur Springs, Texas. His mother worked as a social worker, his father was a state employee with the Texas Department of Corrections, and his step mother was an emergency medical technician for Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He grew up learning the importance of sacrifice in service to your community.

Kendall’s mother, Melissa, didn’t go to college right out of high school. After starting her family, she spent years working all day and going to night school until she earned Psychology degree and became the first member of her family to graduate from college. His mother’s dedication and drive made deep impressions on Kendall, demonstrating the importance of higher education and the need for a strong work ethic.

Kendall graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 2008 and attended Sam Houston State University, a public university in Huntsville, Texas. It was at Sam Houston State University, where he joined various campus organizations geared toward advocacy work and civic engagement, that he really fostered his passion for service to his community. While earning his degree in Political Science, he also worked full-time in multi-family housing/property management. Upon completion of his degree, Kendall returned to northeast Texas where he currently organizes on-site education programming for a non-profit affordable housing company in Dallas, Texas.
Throughout his tenure in advocacy, Kendall has been active in causes to eradicate homelessness, eliminate gerrymandering of political districts, and to give a voice to the underrepresented in our community. Kendall has served on numerous boards and commissions for mentoring youth, tackling the issue of housing/homelessness, The United Way, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Young Democrats of America.
