Advice

Get to know as many people as you can. Introduce yourself the the associates and investors. Most have a investment banking experience and have a lot of connections.

What I liked

Searchers and analysts are generally super nice and they are willing to share their experiences in different fields. Most of them are from prestigious investment banks, consulting firms, private equity and etc. I have the chance to speak with different searchers and have a deeper understanding of different career path.

What I wish was different

It will be better to have some rotations works across different groups. We could have more opportunities to get involved in different acquisition deals.

Advice

Being proactive and reach out to the searchers and analysts.

What I liked

I gained real life experience in the world of industry screening and private equity. I also was able to work directly with an analyst and a potential CEO.

What I wish was different

I wish I was able to work from home on days in which I was unable to commute into Boston, as a large portion of the work can be done out of office.

Advice

Definitely take advantage of this opportunity. The company has many lunch and learns in which you learn about investment banking, business school, and other aspects of a career in finance/private equity.
