Marketing Intern

May - August 2018 • Upper Marlboro, MD

What I liked

I really liked the connections I got with different media platforms such as radio and television. I really loved the feedback my boss gave me and wisdom you bestowed upon me daily.

What I wish was different

I wish it was longer I really loved it. No complaints best employer I’ve ever had.

Advice

My advice I’d share is any experience is really what you make of it. If you choose not to be bold and reach out to people and seize an opportunity then you can’t expect to make any lifelong connections. Seize any opportunity you can get your hands on.

Aquatics Supervisor

May 2018 • Bowie, MD

What I liked

I loved knowing that I was truly making a difference in peoples time. I was able to support my head guards and lifeguards every day and watch them grow. I got to see them develop as lifeguards and grow professionally.

What I wish was different

The area is a little rough and it definitely led to some tough experiences, especially because of cultural differences.

Advice

Find an experience that will put you out of your comfort zone. You will learn a lot about yourself both personally and professionally.
