I loved being able to pour truth into the lives of children. I also loved being able to build life long relationships with other counselors. Being able to see how church is in Texas was also interesting to me.

Summer camp counselor
May - August 2019 • Van, TX
What I liked
I loved the opportunity to lead a group of 16 middle school boys through the weeks that they came. I got to build relationships with them and teach them to be men of God.
What I wish was different
It would be great if there was a greater variety of meals. It followed the same cycle weekly and there's only so many times I can eat the same meal set the same time of each week.
Advice
Do not try to do it on your own strength: lean on God for energy, patience, etc.
