What I liked

There is so much to like about this internship, specifically, I found the organization and structure of my time at South Street & Co. to be extremely useful to my success there. I saw my time was valued by the company and that everyone took the initiative to make me feel welcomed as part of the team. I really enjoyed the culture at South Street & Co. everyone is committed to learning from/with one another which was such a positive experience to be a part of.

What I wish was different

At first, working remotely seemed daunting especially since this was my first internship experience. But I quickly saw that remote work is far more approachable than I previously thought. I enjoy working from home now and have grown to be more productive and organized in my time management from this work experience, which is a skill that I will carry with me for the rest of my career.

Advice

One piece of advice I would offer an incoming intern is to take advantage of the communications within the company, ask lots of questions and get to know the people you work with. Everyone at this company has a story that you can learn from, take that initiative to do so! I kept a journal of the daily tasks, lessons, and curiosities that I came across during my internship and I'm thankful I did this now as I have a reference point for all the experience I've gained and I'd suggest doing the same.
