I loved getting to spend time outside and having a variety of responsibilities kept me busy!
What I wish was different
I wish I would have weekend off but I completely understand why that wasn’t an option! The Big Bear Discovery Center is busiest on weekends so that’s when I got the most opportunities to connect with visitors.
Advice
I would only recommend this internship with someone who is a people person and is willing to learn. There is so much to know about our local mountains and this position allows you to share that with visitors.
