Try to learn as much as you can and try to be involved in every activity and project you can. Take ownership in whatever is assigned to you, and do not be shy to ask questions or ask for help, everyone is willing to help.

The work that I was doing was actual work other engineers would have to do if I wasn’t there. It’s really good experience.

It is more of a civil focus than a mechanical, which is fine.

An internship is extremely crucial not only for resume purposes, but in order for you to test the waters and see which industry/line of work you want to pursue post graduation. This internship gave me more insight as to what I liked and disliked in a position/company

What I liked

I liked that they gave us, the interns, a lot of responsibility as if we were engineers. The job we were doing would have been done by them if we weren't there, so it was a really good real-world experience.

What I wish was different

Honestly, nothing, it was as good as it could have been.

If you ever have an internship opportunity, do your best to absorb all the possible knowledge you can, it will pay back!
