Sprout Creek Farm is a non-profit education center that offers year-round programs aimed at teaching the value and importance of sustainable agriculture and academic inquiry. Through work, guided exploration, hands-on experiential learning, and instruction we help students test their limits, expand their horizons, and develop self-confidence. Our goal is to get students out of the classroom and into a setting where they can think critically about our planet, their community, and their own personal impact on the world around them.
Situated on 200 acres in Dutchess County, NY, Sprout Creek Farm is home to more than 200 animals, an award-winning creamery, and our education center. Our classrooms are our barns, pastures, birthing pens, and kitchens. We strive to offer year-round programs that teach the importance of hard work in the context of a real working dairy farm. The farm expands classroom walls and our educators impart life-long skills and tangible subject matter to meet the needs of all our students.
