The Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2019. We recognize the application of EE techniques across disciplines is growing rapidly. Of our 62 active faculty, 24 are joint with other departments, including computer science, applied physics, material science & engineering, management science & engineering, aeronautics & astronautics, earth sciences, radiology, and bioengineering. We understand culture, equity, and inclusion along many axes as central and critical to our mission to provide an environment where all are welcomed, respected, and valued.
