What I liked
I met Sandy Carlock, the Talent Acquisition Specialist, at a previous career fair and she helped with the seamless hiring process. The moment I was accepted into the State Farm Internship program, I was welcomed to the State Farm family by numerous employees. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work for a Fortune 50 company that not only cared their employees, but also lived by its mission statement day. Throughout the internship, we worked on a project that we later presented to the OVPs and VPOs of the company. We also had the chance to learn about the different departments that make up State Farm through presentations and panels. Our trainers, Jessica Wible and Ryan Jentzsch, carefully explained each lesson, taught us policy, gave us feedback, and got to know us on an individual level. Each day, we learned something new and continued to further our leadership skills. I am so grateful for the advice and feedback mentors, employees, and executives provided. I am also thankful for the experiences and all of the people I have met along the way. It has been a pleasure working with State Farm.
