What I liked

The residents I took care of were amazing! The coworkers were very helpful and thoughtful.

What I wish was different

The administration had a lot of in fighting and arguing over what responsibility belonged to which one of them. It made working under them hard.

Advice

You should always look at how those in power interact with each other to determine how they'll treat those that they don't have an obligation to.

Office of administration information and technology services intern java developer

May - August 2019 • Jefferson City, MO

What I liked

The internship was hands on. There was never busy work, I was always working on projects with the other developers. I was even apart of creating a new website for them. Since you were working on projects that were vital to the website, everyone there, no matter what their title was, were willing to answer any questions that you had.

What I wish was different

There wasn’t any training involved, so you had to learn things yourself as you go and it required you ask the developers many questions in order to complete tasks.

Advice

Never be afraid to ask questions and ask many questions. The developers there know a lot about coding and different types of tips and tricks that can help you become a better developer.
