I really enjoyed being in that environment on a studio lot. I also loved how we rotated positions to experience each department of a studio. The rush of being on a real studio lot with big productions there was very interesting and exciting.
What I wish was different
I wish it was a paid internship, as well as being able to interact with the other interns more. I also wish they did not require interns to get college credit, because it was frustrating at the time to have to do.
Advice
Take advantage of being in that space. Spend your lunch outside walking around the studio. Try to talk to the other interns when you get the chance. Make friends with the people who work there. Work hard. Do not complain about any of the rotations, not even to the other interns. Make conversations with them, even if they're not related to what department you want to go in. Ask every question that comes to your mind, even if you think they're stupid because they're not. Also! Take advantage of being in New York City! That's something I wish I did more of. And try to keep in touch. You never know who is going to give you a chance.
