Strommen Ranch is a registered Angus seedstock operation near Fort Rice, N.D., approximately 37 miles south of Mandan, N.D. It is owned and operated by Aaron & Sheyna Strommen and our kids, Cassidy, Cooper & Clint.
Our cattle must survive – and thrive – in a low-input, grass-based environment of the Northern Plains. We select cattle for their fleshing ability on native range, fertility, longevity and sound udder and leg structure. We AI our cattle for two cycles and have an extensive Embryo Transfer program. This, along with implementing a rotational grazing system, is the primary focus of our internship, though students will also be exposed to some brand development work through our second business, Strommen Livestock Services.
