They were flexible and it was a good introduction to emergency medicine with out being too stressful.
What I wish was different
I wished there was more variety in patients as a majority were hospital to nursing home transfers with paperwork that got repetitive.

Learn/know how to make small talk with patients and other medical professionals.

What I liked
The opportunity to have your own patient and learn the fundamentals of the healthcare system with paperwork and beside manner.
What I wish was different
The type of calls I got were mostly transports so I wish I had more emergency calls.
Advice
Take your job seriously because a patient's care is in your hands and your future success in healthcare will be reflected by how you work with other healthcare professionals and patients who are going through vulnerable times in their lives.
