Synopsys

Technical Intern

May - August 2024 • Sunnyvale, CA

What I liked

The company environment, The wok culture and working with some of the smartest people I ever met with.

What I wish was different

The housing for new comers to California is quite difficult to manage. May be the Company can support a little bit more to the students. In fact, I would be happier if the reduced the salary a little bit and use those to accommodate the interns. Because finding short term housing is very costly and cumbersome in California.

Advice

Work as much possible and learn from the group members. They are some of the smartest people in the whole industry.

Technical Engineering Intern

May - August 2023 • Houston, TX

What I liked

I was impressed by the collaborative environment and innovative mindset at Synopsys. I had the chance to engage with a diverse team of professionals who were supportive and inspiring. Great work-life balance, great culture.

What I wish was different

Though the experience was overwhelmingly positive, I do wish there had been more structured mentorship or more related training courses. While the team was always helpful when approached, I feel that a formalized mentoring program or related training courses could have provided additional guidance and help me make the most of the learning opportunities available.

Advice

For anyone considering an internship with Synopsys, my advice would be to take initiative. Don't be afraid to ask questions and immerse yourself in the company culture.
