What I liked

Great environment. Got to interact with everyone in the executive office. I had amazing support from my supervisor, but was able to reach out to anyone for anything.

What I wish was different

It is unpaid which can be difficult as a student, however I wanted to work for a nonprofit and make a positive impact on the community, and I had the opportunity to. I believe the trade-off was worth it and I had flexible schedule as a result.

Advice

When you are in the position to interact with everyone in the office take advantage of it. You never know what you can learn from a professional and I walked away with incredible advice because of it. I would also remind everyone to be open to experiences, you'll never know what you like and dislike if you don't try.

I liked how they are driven to help people in situations so they can become productive members of society.

What I wish was different

I wish that the main thing that would be different would be the training aspect of the job

Dont be afraid to get your foot in the door. Taking that leap of faith is the first thing to finding your dream career.
