What I liked

I loved the working environment as well as the ability to empower young adult and children. The campsite is the most beautiful place in the word with the lake. The staff is VERY fun; we take our jobs seriously, but we paly around a lot. This job is for someone who loves empowering kids and takes it seriously, but is goofy.

What I wish was different

I wish we had more funding, but we do have more funding than what we have had before.

Advice

Although it is extremely fun to work at camp, it is still a job.

Advice

This experience will change your life. Make sure your heart is ready to listen and learn. Tall turf is a place where the conversation on race and cultural reconciliation is very applicable. If you want to dive into a difficult space and learn how to work with campers from inner city Grand Rapids. This is the place for you.
