Program Instructor
January - August 2019 • Columbus, OH
What I liked
I very much enjoyed working with students and really teaching them about the different aspects of technology. It’s exciting when they share the same passion that you do and you’re able to build on it and get them even more excited about it.
What I wish was different
I wish more students knew about the programs. I know we’ve done a lot of outreach, but I think we could influence more kids to come.
Advice
You must have patience. Every student isn’t a quick learner and they might not even understand the way you explain things the first time, so make sure you’re able to break these technical concepts down and relate them to something in the real world so that they can also make those connections in their own minds.

Techie Camp Instructor
April - August 2019 • Atlanta, GA
What I liked
I loved being able to share my knowledge with and getting to know the students at the camp.
What I wish was different
I wish the camps were longer, I really enjoyed my time with the students.
Advice
Take the time to get to know each student and see what they are understanding and what they aren't understanding and then find a solution based on the personal student.
