I liked the distance it was from my house and the pay was okay.
What I wish was different
I wish that they had given us an opportunity to work more hours. They hired too many people to work outside at the pool so many of us only worked 1-2 days a week. The management was disorganized and sometimes extremely rude when they got frustrated. The owner didn't care about his staff at all and would yell at you for no reason at all. There was little to no training and the three managers constantly told us conflicting information so the servers were never on the same page.
Advice
This job is basically for high school students that cannot get anything better. As a college student, I don't recommend applying here unless you are able to work Bev car (the golf cart server that mixes drinks for people on the golf course) or an official bartender. If you do want to become a bartender they will not tip train you so you have to already have that qualification. I was forced to work as a bartender at the pool but was never tipped trained so I had to look up how to mix drinks and was not allowed to receive tips at the bar.
