I learned a LOT about family law, and I met so many incredible attorneys and policymakers who were all very willing to talk with me about their experiences in the legal field and beyond.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more experience writing memos, but all in all, it was still a great, immersive experience into family law.
Advice
I would advise that people be engaged with the attorneys from day 1 - the internship goes by really quickly, and you'll get the most out of it by putting your all into the work.
