I really enjoy getting to know what life as a reporter is really like. I came into the office every day and sometimes received assignments, or was left to my own devices to find stories. I got to interact with a lot of the community the average college student wouldn't be able to.
What I wish was different
Nothing.
Advice
Keep on top of deadlines and stick to a schedule. I had pretty flexible hours and could work from home, but the temptation to goof off until deadline was tempting.
