What I liked
Working for such a small business, I gained experience in all roles, from beekeeping and harvesting honey to marketing and business development. The company culture is very flexible and welcoming, giving interns a high level of independence to explore their interests and creatively make an impact.
What I wish was different
I would advise future interns request a concrete work schedule, although this is difficult to arrange considering all Elysium employees are currently part-time contractors.
Advice
Do not be afraid to branch out from the typical corporate internship and try something new! Spending time both out in the sunshine working beehives and working on the behind-the-scenes of a small business was extremely fulfilling and eye-opening for me to know where I want to go next in my career journey.
