What I liked

I loved how they not only challenged the students we worked with to grow in their faith, but they challenged us interns to do the same. We were introduced to many students from different economic backgrounds and got to learn how to show the love of God in that.

What I wish was different

The entire summer we had been told that flexibility was very important, but toward the latter part of the summer, it began to feel that flexibility got confused for disorganization (which was hard as an intern who is over their own group of high school students).

Advice

Be open to what God is going to do/show you. Risk being vulnerable, as that will help in opening those lines of communication with your students/fellow interns.
