I had the opportunity to learn about the process of creating carbon fiber and fiberglass composites and their applications in the automotive and wind energy industries. My mentor and his colleagues were extremely helpful and taught me much about working in the field as well as the specific processes to their facility. I also got to present my summer research at a conference and discuss it with professionals in the field.
