I loved the community-focused office and the variety of cases I was working on. After working at the LRC, I know that I want a work environment similarly committed to community and collaboration doing important justice and equity work.
What I wish was different
I wish I could work at the LRC as a defense lawyer! The desire gives me a great potential career path.
Advice
Student interns should be ready to tackle any problem whether that is researching case law, comforting a client, or fixing the wifi connection. That versatility is vital in small non-profit offices.
