The North American Coal Corporation mines and supplies lignite primarily as a fuel for power generation and provides value-added mining services for other natural resources companies. As a subsidiary of NACCO Industries, Inc. (NYSE: NC), North American Coal and affiliated businesses operate eight surface coal mines in the United States, primarily in North Dakota, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana and the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. Our employees work in areas of construction science, engineering, biology, environmental science, business, management and other science and technology fields. We generate low-cost electricity to our power plant customers using clean, efficient and environmentally friendly technologies. In 2019, we delivered 34.6 million tons of coal and continue to provide dragline mining services for independently owned lime rock quarries in Florida.
