I really liked working with a small crew of people to accomplish tasks. The company i work with designs, builds and maintains backyard organic gardens for clients. In summers previous, I had worked with the gardening team, visiting clients gardens and learned lots about growing veggies. It was cool to work on the build crew this summer building the gardens and we did lots of cool projects and builds all over. My favorite builds were definitely the rooftop gardens in the city. It was awesome to work in both sides of the business and be able to see everything from start to finish and appreciate it. Finishing projects like this made me feel accomplished.
What I wish was different
Nothing, I loved this summer job. It was physically demanding, but incredibly rewarding.
Advice
Definitely take the time to find a job that seems interesting to you and expands your knowledge in some way. It's not easy to find the job you want and it may be competitive so getting a head start and starting to look early can give you an advantage. When you are doing a job that you really enjoy or is stimulating, it doesn't feel like work.

It is a good internship if you are really passionate about community, where food comes from, and alternative career paths.
