I wish I got to have more relevant experiences; I was often building or moving furniture and cleaning the office.

Internships are not usually glamorous, but you should be careful to choose an internship that you’ve looked deeply into. Talk to former interns before accepting positions.

What I liked
It was really interesting to see a for-profit arts organization in action! I loved meeting the actors from the area and recording their auditions. Editing and sending in auditions for our talent to our clients was a really meaningful experience, and it was really great seeing people progress to callbacks and possible gigs as I helped them through their auditions!
What I wish was different
Advice
You need to have thick skin for this kind of job. The agents are all very fast-paced and don't have a lot of time to explain your job to you, so you need to stay sharp and be able to figure some things out on your own! I jumped in with no training on the first day of my internship because there were a ton of auditions booked for that day- experience is the majority of the training you'll get!
