I liked giving back to a program that had helped me so much in the past. It also paid better than any job I had worked before.
What I wish was different
I wish the university did not heavily limit the number of hours I could work each week.
Advice
I would say being able to give back to your community is such a great experience, and it ensures you never go home hating your job.

What I liked
The work environment and what I learned continually were fantastic, I very much enjoyed my experience.
What I wish was different
COVID impacted the work strongly, but that is unavoidable. There is nothing I would change about the work itself.

I would advise anyone in engineering to gain research experience, as it is a large part of the field and gives you hands-on experience.

As an undergraduate research assistant in the math department for the summer, it was a great experience to be able to take the knowledge from the courses I had taken previously and to apply them into beneficial research.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have known MATLAB before starting.

Technology is the future and being able to keep up with the changing world is key to not only completing research but achieving your goals.
