Advice

Be open to everyone you meet because you may see them down the line in a future internship or job

Software Engineering Intern

June 2019 • Seattle, WA

What I liked

I loved how hands-on I was able to be there. The work I did directly impacted the business and I was really happy to see how it impacted others! I felt like a full time employee.

What I wish was different

I loved my team and the experience, but the only downside is that the office is very small. It is easy to meet everyone, but I wanted to learn how to work in a larger office surrounded by lots of people. (small offices are very personal which was nice!)

Advice

Don't be afraid to reach out and ask for help! Other engineers will love to help you (if they aren't busy).

May - August 2019 • Los Angeles, CA

What I liked

I loved the team, that we were working with cutting edge technologies, and the friendly and open environment.

What I wish was different

That I had more time.

Advice

Come in ready to learn and it won't disappoint.

Markeitng

May - August 2019 • Hollywood, CA

What I liked

I enjoyed working at Ticketmaster for a variety of reasons. First off - the work culture and environment was amazing and my team members were extremely supportive, understanding and caring. My team leaders gave me the opportunity to own projects wherein i was able to deliver results and ideas in a way that i felt heard and recognized.

What I wish was different

I wish i was given more shadowing experiences because i'm a visual learner. A lot of the work is independent and not so much collaborative.

Advice

As someone that wants to fulfill a career in Public Relations, i would definitely recommend working in Marketing or completing an internship in Marketing because they are extremely similar and provide a ton of transferable skills.
