What I liked

I really enjoyed the networking opportunities I was able to have. Because the internship was virtual, I got the chance to meet and talk with a lot of Executives. I even was able to get the Executive VP to recommend me to a job I recently applied for! Hoping for the best.

What I wish was different

It was definitely hard because it was a virtual internship—so I was disappointed I didn't get more hands on experience. I wish I had more time and assignments to apply what I was learning.

Advice

I would say to definitely go out of your way to network and really take an interest in what other people are doing. Make sure to ask questions!!

What I liked

I liked learning so much about the industry and how each aspect of this company plays a role in insurance. I got to meet with people who work with the company, and I expanded my knowledge on the Insurance so much more.

What I wish was different

I wish there would have been more work involved. I met with a ton of people who told me all that they did and gave presentations, but there wasn't a lot of actual work.

Advice

Network. Network. Network. You might think you're just a face to people you meet and that they won't remember you, bu that's not true! Meet as many people as you can and follow up with them. You never know what kind of opportunities a person/company can present you with, so meet everyone from various industries and backgrounds.
