Tolmar, Inc.

Project Engineering Intern

June - August 2021 • Windsor, CO

What I liked

I enjoyed the people at Tolmar, and working with both engineering groups.

What I wish was different

I wish I could collaborate with more engineers at Tolmar, although I did get to work with a lot of people.

Advice

I would advise future interns to talk to more engineers around the company, regardless of their group, to learn more about what work they doo and how they solve different problems!

Advice

Summer internships are really helpful when applying to jobs. They are also great talking points in interviews. Definitely try applying to as many as possible and be persistent.

Accountant Intern

May - August 2018 • Windsor, CO

What I liked

Team was incredibly nice - took care of teaching me as much as they were able to. I felt like I was a valued member of the team during my time at Tolmar. The experience caused me to narrow my full time job search to health care.

What I wish was different

I wish that they would have had a position like mine previous to the summer of 2018 - I was the first intern to work with both the finance and accounting teams. I was a bit of a guinea pig so a lot came down to me asking the right questions which was fun to have it be challenging, but also somewhat tiring.

Advice

Internships become more helpful to you the more you ask and try to apply yourself. One of the things I would always ask employers during interviews was not only what I would be doing for them, but also how they would be enhancing my own experience and furthering my own knowledge.
