Flexibility of scheduling, relaxed but professional work environment.
What I wish was different
The lifeguards needed more breaks from sitting in the heat. It would have been better if we didn’t have to sit in the baby pool area or by the playground. We also didn’t need 3 guards on at all times, like if there is only one person in the pool. It caused frustration and boredom for all the guards.
Advice
Always remember the EAP! Always be watching the water and be nice to patrons even when they are being difficult.
