Biology Laboratory Assistant

May - August 2020 • Lexington, MA

What I liked

I enjoyed learning valuable lab techniques and learning from my colleagues about their differing career paths in the sciences.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have had more time on site learning lab techniques. My time in the lab was unfortunately limited due to COVID.

Advice

I would advise others to ask lots of questions and not be afraid to make mistakes.

Business Development Intern

June - August 2019 • Lexington, MA

What I liked

There were several aspects I really liked. I loved that I was able to engage in a project describing possible acquisition and licensing targets that was entirely up to my own research and analysis. My manager was brilliant, and an excellent teacher and friend. I also loved the sheer amount of research I was able to do on the biotech industry, and the depth of industry knowledge it gave me.

What I wish was different

I wish it had been closer to Boston! The commute to Lexington was tough, but I honestly cannot complain about the job itself. I loved it.

Advice
