I was able to learn how to fact check a source by detirming it's credibility through research and by looking for evidence that detirmines a sources claim
What I wish was different
I was offered the opportunity to start my internship in the spring of 2019 but opted to start in the summer when their were few fact checking and editing interns. I chose to start my internship in the summer because I wanted to focus on my classes for the spring semester. .
Advice
Looking back I probably could have managed my internship and classes during that semester
Always take risks. Do not let your worries control your decisions.

Take down the names, contact info, and job description of the people you meet (or just get their business cards)
Advice
Find a group of interns in the city where you are interning
Explore opportunities outside of your internship while you are in the city
