I loved learning how the senator's office functioned and about the day to day tasks serving the Senator's constituents in New York.
What I wish was different
I would have liked the opportunity to meet Senator Gillibrand.

What I liked
What I loved so much about my experience was being able to help constituents find the resources they need to get help. In addition, I was able to conduct research on various grants for different non-profit organizations. I would send research memos to the Senators Chief of Staff as well as the Regional Director.
What I wish was different
Unfortunately within the Melville office you were unable to do casework for constituents. Which is basically helping constituents reach out to the government agencies they're having problems with whether its social security, health care and so on. I wish I could've helped the constituents more often.
