I liked this experience because it was my first political experience. I was able to learn how to assist constituents with a variety of issues such as housing, food insecurity, and immigration and see the impact of policies on their lives.
What I wish was different
This experience was remote, so it was difficult at times to be able to connect with the rest of the staff at my internship.
Advice
I would say do not be afraid to ask questions! Because I pretty much had no clue what I was doing in the beginning, I scheduled plenty of meetings and sent many emails to figure out how to do my tasks well.

What I liked
The staff always kept me busy by giving me tasks to do and taking me to events with the Senator.
What I wish was different
Nothing! It was a great experience and I am so glad that I chose to intern here this summer.
