Software Engineering Intern

May - August 2019 • Pittsburgh, PA

What I liked

My group would trust interns with important work and allow me to explore things I've never done before. They would give me open-ended problems and let me do independent research. My proposed solutions might not be perfect, but my group always takes them seriously. It was a great learning experience and I feel I'm doing some very meaningful work. Also, every intern has their own different mentor. My mentor is very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Whenever I have problems, he would put down whatever he's doing and come over to help me. I ask a lot of questions at the beginning of my internship, but he was always happy to answer them in great detail. Plus, the pay was really really competitive :)

What I wish was different

I wish my team has another office location, LOL. I've been staying in Pittsburgh for too long. Other than that, I've got nothing to complain about. The company itself and my colleagues are awesome.

Advice

This is the perfect place to work at if you are a robotics person.
