What I liked
My group would trust interns with important work and allow me to explore things I've never done before. They would give me open-ended problems and let me do independent research. My proposed solutions might not be perfect, but my group always takes them seriously. It was a great learning experience and I feel I'm doing some very meaningful work. Also, every intern has their own different mentor. My mentor is very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Whenever I have problems, he would put down whatever he's doing and come over to help me. I ask a lot of questions at the beginning of my internship, but he was always happy to answer them in great detail. Plus, the pay was really really competitive :)
