It was an open ended project with a specific outcome and they allowed me to design the project however I wanted to. It allowed me to explore how I solve problems.
What I wish was different
Having a senior electrical engineer to help with some of my questions would have made the learning process slightly better because I could have assured my designs were better.
Advice
Dont avoid certain work just because you aren't familiar with it, I pushed myself to design buck converters from scratch which I had never done before and it was very personally rewarding when I got them to work.

Mechanical Engineering Intern
June - August 2018 • Boulder, CO
What I liked
I enjoyed working in a professional environment and exploring what it is like to do research. I enjoyed working with people as well as having to be self motivated and managed in order to get things done.
What I wish was different
I wish that there was a little bit more for me to do. As in intern there is usually not always something to work on.
Advice
Always be nice to to your coworkers and try to be as useful as possible. Make sure that no ones has to ask you to do something twice. Try to talk to everyone and get to know the people around you. They will be able to help you with your work.
