What I liked
I liked being able to have an important role in a project and make contributions, such as creating data entry formulas and shadowing research visits.
What I wish was different
I wish I had gotten more clinic experience instead of office work. And also that I'd been paid.
Advice
I would say that you only get as much out of the experience as the amount of work you are willing to put it. If you don't take initiative, nobody's going to do it for you.

Review your resources and ask for help when needed. The more knowledgeable one is about the school, the more helpful one can be as a mentor to incoming students.

It was a very personable experience with numerous activities for all participants and experiences both on and off campus.

There needs to be a clearer indication of directions upon arrival to the campus from the airport.
Advice
Be open to try new experiences. Also, know how to balance research, graduate preparation assignments, GRE study time, and leisure time throughout your stay.

UCSD Sports Medicine Internship

Great learning opportunity and program offers around 400 clinical hours for UC students. Program provides free B spot and work with UCSD athletes.
What I wish was different
Training is very intense and requires lots of work outside of internship.

Take videos and notes and practice and do not slack.
