The goal and purpose of the program that I worked for is what I loved the most about my role(the recruitment and retention of women in STEM). Also, my coworkers were all capable, intelligent, and had original ideas.

Advice
Being a TA requires a lot passion for what you do because the people you help need to see the importance of what they are learning. Also, obviously a deep understanding or willingness to learn more about the topic.
