June - August 2019 • Boston, MA
What I liked
I liked living independently in a city
I liked working in a lab and having relative control over the hours I worked
I liked working with closely with research mentor and with the other students in my program
I liked being able to take ownership of my research and develop laboratory and field skills in environmental science
What I wish was different
I wish that the program had been a little shorter. For me, 10 weeks was a long time to be apart from home my first summer away
Advice
Fully immerse yourself in the experience -- explore Boston, get to know the people you work with, and take ownership of your research
