Getting to work on a really big project, calibrating an ecosystem model of Lake Erie. I got to work with some of the top University of Michigan and NOAA scientists and learned a lot.
What I wish was different
The program was not very structured at the beginning, so I felt like I wasted time being confused about my project. However, once things got into full swing I really connected with my mentor and got to work on an awesome project.
Advice
Don't be afraid to go somewhere or try something new.
