What I liked
I got a lot of great experience and gained a lot of self confidence. I appreciated all of the trust that my editors put in me. I learned a lot and got a lot of great clips.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been able to focus on a more diverse array of topics, rather than being attached to breaking news all of the time.
Advice
Every journalist (and person, probably) should have an experience that takes them outside of their comfort zone. A great way to do this is by reporting in another area (whether it be another state or another country).

I had the opportunity to write a few columns and vote on the editorial board, which was fun and exciting.
