I loved the mentorship, the research, the seminars, and all of my interactions with program directors, faculty, staff, and graduate students.
What I wish was different
I wish I had interacted more with my peers in the SURF program.
Advice
You can work 8 to 5, but I enjoyed my experience so much more because I didn't limit myself by time. I worked from as early as I could get there until I was done for the day. Even though this meant some late nights, the ability to throw myself entirely into the research made this experience one of the best I've ever had.
