I loved working with kids with autism and helping them with their therapy. The UTBS team is awesome and very unified.
What I wish was different
I wish the hours were more set and guaranteed.
Advice
If the kids cancel their sessions then you don’t work and don’t get paid. The schedule changes every week. So if you want set hours this might not be the job for you.

What I liked
I liked the learning experience it gave me as a psychology undergrad. I learned so much about behavior over the four months I worked at UTBS. They are super accommodating with scheduling. My coworkers were super positive and encouraging.
What I wish was different
I wouldn’t change anything about my experience.
Advice
I would advise future behavior technicians to be open minded! The work can be difficult at times but the job is very rewarding at the end of the day.

What I liked
The work environment at UTBS is beyond anything I've experienced. With extremely flexible scheduling, the ability to learn everyday, and working alongside amazing coworkers, I felt super comfortable here.
What I wish was different
Sometimes I was scheduled a few days before I had to work, so I might not know that I have to work on Friday until Wednesday. I also could get switched clients with only a couple days notice or the day of. While this is expected and inevitable, it did cause a little frustration for employees at times.
Advice
My advice for this experience is to apply what you learn into everyday life. This makes it easier to learn and can help better your lifestyle. While this job involves kids, the way we interact is so valuable. My best advice would be to have fun with the kids and be creative in what you do, this job can be extremely rewarding if you let it!

What I liked
I loved the unique experience and the pay was awesome. We went on a lot of field trips and such and got paid to help children with disabilities improve his or her behavior.
What I wish was different
I wish there was a location in Provo so I did not have to commute to Lehi.
Advice
Find a well paying job because you can save so much more money make 15$ an hour than $10 an hour. 3 hours for this job was 45 dollars and that would be 4.5 hours for a $10 job.
