I loved the overall experience, getting to make large decisions for a national film festival, and being in a kind and creative space.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been paid! But, it is also a nonprofit, so I understand and it was definitely still worth it.
Advice
Network through friends! Chances are, you know someone who can help you get your foot in the door.

Film Programming Intern
July - September 2018 • Salt Lake City, UT
What I liked
The work enviornment was casual yet invigorating, and the professionalism of my coworkers, who were still able to joke around and have a good time, was a great example of what I desire in a workspace.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time there, as my role would have been even more involved and I would have been allowed to learn more about the field.
Advice
Think of these internships as personal building exercises. Regardless of your status for future employment or you're other interests, focusing on developing your own interpersonal skills and character maturation is key for developing yourself into a marketable hire for post-grad.
