Culture and art community within the department, as well as the network opportunities offered to students. My role at the Rubin Center allowed me to explore my creativity, and granted me the opportunity to grow as a professional. Being a small team has its perks; everyone supports each other and loves to collaborate.
What I wish was different
Although being part of a small team is my preference, communication was hard sometimes as there was so much to do. However, people always wanted to grow and work.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions and collaborate. The art community within the Rubin Center is enormous and loves to guide and support emerging artists. Network and get out of your comfort zone.
